Book Your Covid Vaccine

Patients in Bassetlaw can now call the NHS on 119 to book their Covid vaccine, or book online using the NHS Website: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/coronavirus-vaccination/book-coronavirus-vaccination/

Who is eligible for a vaccine?

· Patients aged 16+

· Patients aged 12 to 15 (first dose)

· Patients aged 12 to 15 (second dose), if any of the following apply:

· they live with someone who is more likely to get infections (such as someone who has HIV, has had a transplant or is having certain treatments for cancer, lupus or rheumatoid arthritis)

· they have a condition that means they're at high risk of getting seriously ill from COVID-19


When can I have my second dose?

You may have a second dose 8 weeks or more after your first dose.


When can I have my third dose (not booster)?

The third dose is being given to patients with a weakened immune system aged 12+ 8 weeks or more after your second dose.

When can I have my booster?

You may have a booster vaccination no less than 12 weeks from your second dose.


All eligible patients must have already had two doses to receive a booster.

· Patients aged over 18 years

· Patients who live and work in care homes

· Frontline health and social care workers

· People aged 16+ with a health condition that puts them at a high risk of serious illness from Covid-19.

· People aged 16+ if they live with someone who is more likely to get infections (such as someone who has HIV, has had a transplant or is having certain treatments for cancer, lupus or rheumatoid arthritis)

· People who are pregnant and in one of the above groups

Please note, the surgery is not able to book vaccination appointments - this must be done through 119 or the NHS website. If you have any clinical questions, please call your regular surgery as normal.
