New Online Consultation System

📢IMPORTANT PATIENT UPDATE 📢

Following our recent communication, we’d like to share some more information with you about how we’re improving access and moving to a GP-led triage model.

We have chosen SystmConnect as our new online platform. SystmConnect is built by the same people who created SystmOne, our clinical software, and SystmOnline.

We can now confirm that we will change to SystmConnect on 2 June 2025.

❓ What’s the difference?

SystmConnect allows users to send a number of different types of enquiries:

  • • New medical problems
  • • Existing medical problems
  • • Medication questions
  • • Admin requests

It lets you write in your own words what the enquiry is and tell us what you would like to happen. These will then be dealt with by the most appropriate person, e.g. a GP for a medical request, or a member of the reception team for an admin request.

📱 NHS App Compatible

You can use your existing NHS App login to submit enquiries, simplifying the process. If you do not have an NHS App login, you can still go to our website and send your enquiry. You do not need a login and password, you just need to enter your details. Carers, parents and guardians will be able to submit enquiries on somebody else’s behalf too.

▶What do I need to do?

For now, you do not need to do anything. We’re sharing this information early in the process so that patients are aware of the change well in advance. You may wish to set up an NHS App account so that you are ready to go when we launch. You may also wish to ensure we have an email address that we can send our replies to on your medical record.

🏢What will the surgery do next?

Over the course of the next few weeks, we will be planning our appointments and clinics for the launch. This is a complex process which means that there may be reduced availability for a short time until we go live. This is so that the new system has the capacity we need when we do launch. This will not affect clinically urgent issues, only routine issues which are safe to wait a short period of time.

We will also start updating our website with how-to guides, screenshots and videos, so that you can get a first look at how the system will work and be ready for launch.

We hope you’ll agree that this is a positive step forward to improve our service, and look forward to sharing more information in the coming weeks. If you do have any comments, please click here to get in touch with our digital team.
